So far best we've had. It actually chills the wine vs kind of. It is worth the extra money to get something that works. It even has the Kool blue light inside. These have a compressor not the fins and fans that require constant maintenance to keep it "kind of " working. Yes if you have the other kind and it doesn't work take the back off and clean the fins. Or get this one and enjoy wine at the right temp. I would recommend this to friends. Not noisy at all , actually quieter than the other kind( thermoelectric ). I'd stay away from those and consider ther actual maintenance they don't tell you about that I mentioned above.
