Sauder Carson Forge Sideboard, Washington Cherry Finish Review

As my 14th through 17th Sauder pieces of furniture, of the Carson Forge product line I bought bought and assembled the following:

414444 Lift-Top Coffee Table

I am pleased them all. The Technology Pier's parts arrived undamaged. The other three, we had to order replacement pieces (get used to it). Sauder's furniture is masterfully designed and engineered. The Carson Forge laminate is gorgeous -- the surface touches up with a black Magic Marker. With Carson Forge, parents with little kids can ALSO have nice-looking furniture, since any reasonable "damage" gives this Carson Forge more of its already distressed look.

I really like the side table's drawer where its top slides open. I really like the coffee table -- I already have magazines and RV remote controllers in its storage bin. The Technology Pier I call a "stand." The sideboard I call a "cabinet."

I bought Sauder's Carson Forge after surveying the current market for moderately-priced Mission-style furniture. The top four below made it to my semi-finalist list:

I use nothing else in my 5000 gallon Koi pond. I run two skimmers, for redundancy and for waterfall volume. I ran other brands before, but they were noisier, used a lot more power and didn't last very long. I run two Hy Drive 4800 GPH models on about 500W total. That's only 2/3 of a Horsepower to move 9600 GPH. Never have had a GFI issue with a Hy Drive, either. Caution, never run dry; make sure you dunk it thoroughly and fill the pump cavity with water before initial start. Because XXX happens, I also run the pump input power through a float switch tied to the side of the pump, just above the intake.
