The desk looks very nice and it was easy to assemble. It came in two boxes: one containing the desk, and one containing the hutch. The only assembly needed was to screw the legs to the tabletop. The wide drawers are pretty shallow, so don't plan on putting a lot of things in them. The small drawers have no safety stop, so you have to be careful about not pulling them all the way out. Still, the desk is very nice and I'm happy with my purchase. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Home Styles 5527-162 Homestead Student Desk and Hutch, Distressed Warm Oak Finish" are high quality item.
