I was a little wary of buying a couch from Amazon, but this seemed like a pretty good deal so I decided to go for it. The couch came in boxes and we had to assemble it, but it only took my husband a couple of hours to get it unboxed and put together (that's with my 2 year old "helping" him.)
The color is exactly what it looks like, a dark, rich, beautiful brown. The thing I was most worried about was comfort. When I first sat down it was on the stiff side, and my heart sank a little. Then realized I was sitting up straight with my knees together and my hands on my knees (not comfortable, no matter where you're sitting.) After an hour or so of lounging on it watching TV, I fell in love with it. I didn't want to get off it to go to bed. I think after a while it will soften up just enough that it will be very comfortable without swallowing you up every time you sit in it like really soft couches do.
