This unit is designed for through-the-wall installation and is not designed for standard window installation. It has a universal fit for existing, standard 26-inch wall sleeves (new wall sleeve sold separately). When the unit works, it does its job -- it's by no means the coldest AC out there, but it does cool a room fairly well in all but the hottest weather. The controls aren't anything fancy, but it's alright. When it works...

Unfortunately, the unit didn't work for more than about two years before it fell apart, with the fan failing entirely. As luck would have it, I don't have the proof of purchase -- and LG therefore won't provide service under what would be a 5-year warranty. (Which is entirely their right -- but obviously means I'm not buying anything else from them!)
