First, I love this table set. It's reminiscent of kitsch-y 90s ultramodern furniture with its in-your-face primary colors and black marble base. I wanted a set like this back in the early 90s and never ended up being able to get it. Here we are, and 20 years later I finally got my ridiculously colorful dining set!

First about the set itself - chairs are sturdy, comfortable, nicely designed. I wanted to buy them from Amazon however for some strange reason Amazon prices each color differently, and in most cases is more expensive than you can get elsewhere. I ended up getting my chair set from Appliances Connection, and thus started half of my nearly 1- month odyssey waiting to get this set. AC's service was good and they kept the order status updated, however as with any seller of this set, all they are doing is sending to order directly to Global for drop shipping. So it was about 6 days after the order until it actually shipped out. Then, i had the great misfortune to become acquainted with a delivery company named Home Direct USA. What a cluster you-know-what this company is! NO shipping status updates for 2 weeks after the item is picked up! Had to call several times to try and see what was going on (and phone line is usually permanently busy). Ended up emailing about 6 employees at the company before I could get any updates on my order.

The chairs did finally arrive, but all told nearly a month after my original order!!! Is any dining set worth waiting a month for? I love this set, but I'm not sure. Then apparently Karma is getting me back for something I did before, because I ordered an outdoor daybed from Target, and guess who I got again for the shipping company?!?! You guessed it! Home Direct. Lord help me. That shipment was going from Atlanta to the Tampa terminal, and again it was in 'Limbo' with no updates for several days, so I called and after a 30 minute hold was told the ETA to the terminal was 9 DAYS after pickup! That's right, 9 days from Atlanta to Tampa. One could walk faster. Just hope you never get Home Direct USA! But I digress...

The chairs come boxed in sets of 2 of the same color, so if you purchase a set of one of each color as I did, this means the seller (or Global) must open the cartons and re-pack the boxes of 2 identical colors with 2 different color chairs. That was the case with mine, with the boxes obviously being opened and then haphazardly re-taped.

On to the table - I had a TERRIBLE experience getting this, too. Ordered from an Amazon seller named Stores123. The status stayed pending as 'shipping soon' for over 5 days. Then this seller abruptly canceled the order with no explanation, just 'not available'. Interestingly, this same seller (STORES123) then re-listed their selling of this same item on the Amazon product page, at a $100 higher price! When I insisted they fulfill my order at the original price, they refused, were completely unhelpful. So lost a week and had to get from another seller. Drop shipped from Global, and in total took over 3 weeks to get.

So, it's been quite an ordeal. I WISH this table/chairs set was sold as a 'Fulfilled by Amazon' item that THEY warehoused so you could get it quickly, reliably using Prime shipping. But you can't. So if you want the 'technicolor vomit' set as I lovingly call it, you're gonna have to have some adventure!
