I bought this for my wife, she is a cooking/baking fanatic and needed a larger mixer, in her circle of friends most have more than 1 of the largest kitchen aids, so their kitchen counters are taken up with equipment along with whatever they are cooking. I decided to get one big one with the most power I could find for this size mixer for her and I set it up on a solid table that can be wheeled into the pantry when not in use. It works great even with pizza and bread dough, the only question/concern would be the rated motor, the web page listed it at 1.5 Hp but the manual that came with it lists it a 1 Hp it hasn't been a problem yet with any of the doughs she worked on. She has used it constantly over the holiday cooking season with no problems which is really all we can ask for. Yes I would recommend it if you have the space or need for something this big, it's really sped up her work from several small batches to 1 or 2 big ones... hope this helps
